Grisafe Architecture is looking to hire an experienced Project Architect for a full-time position in our Long Beach office.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who lives in or around the Long Beach area (or is willing to relocate to the area) and meets the following criteria:
- Licensed architect or currently pursuing licensure
- 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or residential design
- Experience coordinating with engineers and general contractors
- Experience working with city officials to resolve high-level issues
The individual we hire will be a proven leader with strong communication skills. Creativity and excellent problem-solving abilities are also key for the person in this position. In addition, a strong work ethic and a desire to understand all aspects of the design and construction process are valuable traits in the ideal candidate.
Job Responsibilities
The Project Architect at Grisafe Architecture will be responsible for the following:
- Designing for both commercial and residential projects
- Overseeing and guiding staff, which includes facilitating weekly meetings
- Meeting one-on-one with clients
- Coordinating with outside contractors and engineers, as well as city officials
- Providing regular updates to the company owner and lead architect
While this is an on-site position, flexibility is available to work from home on occasion. Some local travel is required, so candidate must have reliable transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed.
