Being headquartered in Long Beach, our architecture firm naturally does a lot of work within the borders of the City of Long Beach. However, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that we also do a lot of architectural design work with our neighbors to the south in Seal Beach.
Our Architecture Firm’s Experience in Seal Beach, CA
Seal Beach is a lovely city that has many great homes and businesses, but just like any popular beach city, things are always changing. Homes are being remodeled, or they are being torn down, and new ones are being built in their place. Business spaces are changing hands and in need of tenant improvements. Grisafe Architecture is working with homeowners and business owners in Seal Beach, providing them with architectural design that meets their needs, while also providing them with spaces that are beautiful, inspiring, and highly functional.
One of our most recently completed residential design projects was in Seal Beach. We helped a homeowner completely remodel her 1980s tract home into a showstopper! We were able to turn a dark and outdated home into one that is bright and modern (but with many traditional design features). Spaces that were previously little used were reimagined to provide the homeowner with additional functional space in her home. We redesigned the transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces to make the home more amenable to entertaining and to help show off her beautiful new swimming pool.
Architects Working with Seal Beach Officials to Obtain Proper Approvals and Permits
During this and other architectural design projects we’ve taken on in the City of Seal Beach, we worked closely with city officials to get all necessary permits and approvals. Unlike other architects working in Seal Beach, our firm can handle the entire permitting process on behalf of our clients. We can also work closely with your general contractor once building commences to make sure the design you approve comes to life in the way you had hoped.
We also have extensive experience working with and getting projects approved by the California Coastal Commission. (Any property owners within the California Coastal Zone must obtain a Coastal Development Permit from the CCC prior to doing any developments on their properties.) Getting approval from the CCC can definitely increase the project timeline, but it is a necessary step to ensure that your Seal Beach home remodel or custom home build is fully permitted and legal. Not getting a Coastal Development Permit can result in steep fines and could make your home impossible to sell down the road.
If you are in need of an experienced architect for your residential or commercial design project in Seal Beach, we would love to hear from you! Contact our office to tell us about your upcoming project and to schedule an initial appointment with someone from the Grisafe Architecture team.
